Dedication of the Eileen Mitchell Children’s Room

Under the guise of a Grand Reopening Ceremony for the Beach Haven Library, library staff and trustees staged a surprise Dedication Ceremony on July 12th for the new Eileen Mitchell Children’s Room, and we managed to keep it all a secret until the new plaque was unveiled! 

Eileen Mitchell, our beloved Principal Library Assistant, has been the heart and soul of the library for almost 39 and a half years and has done anything and everything over all those years –  processing our book and magazine orders, covering the circulation desk, answering our phones and making sure patrons can find everything they need.

Eileen always has a smile and a nice word, along  with expert recommendations for books you might enjoy.
