Making Memories with Millie is an interactive presentation designed for adults who would like to share highly engaging, "at-home" learning experiences with children. Designed primarily for grandparents wishing to create memories with their grandchildren, this presentation can be of value to parents, educators, childcare providers, etc. (Get out the camera!)
1 classes focus upon the paring of vintage desserts with literature written for children of all ages, including adults. Each class will feature one vintage dessert, which will be sampled by all. Yum!! The origin and historical significance of the "featured vintage dessert" (FVD) will be discussed and its recipe shared. Next, contextually related, age-appropriate literature will be shared and made available for borrowing. Lastly, participants will discuss how the FVD and related books can be used in their homes to create memories that last a lifetime.
