Beach Haven Public Library
Welcome to the
Beach Haven Public Library
The Beach Haven Library was built as a library, not as a home, as some people believe. The land and building were donated by the Pharo family, Beach Haven's first residents. The library was built in 1924. The interior hasn't changed much since then.

We have the most recent New York's Times best sellers books, participate in Inter-Library Loans, have a Children's section that includes small tables and chairs and a meeting room with a fireplace and a large table. We offer our patrons a DVD collection, and the most updated computers and a color laser printer. We are wireless, so please feel free to bring your laptop!

We pride ourselves with the relationship formed between the community and library staff. Therefore, we are able to provide informational lectures, book discussion groups, reading hours for young children and weekly knitting groups. Most requests for local organizations meetings are granted.

The Beach Haven Library is located at Third Street and Beach Avenue in Beach Haven, NJ. We may be reached by phone at: 609.492.7081. Fax: 609.492.1048. Email:

Beach Haven Library Museum
When you visit the Beach Haven Library, please don't forget to visit our second floor museum. Our museum is unique because the entire area was constructed by mortise and tenons. When stepping down into the well furnished little museum, one observes the high, beamed ceilings and a lovely, stone fireplace. It is filled with old hotel registers, deeds, diaries, photographs and other relics of Beach Haven’s century and more of history.

We are actively seeking photos, deeds and documents of old Beach Haven to add to our archives. We will scan your originals and give them back to you. Scanning does not harm any of your originals.
During the fall and winter months, please call the library at 609.492.7081 to make arrangements to see the museum.
